The following video also clearly demonstrates how the rock curls as it travels the length of the sheet of ice, and how the sweepers work the brooms to help control the distance it travels.
The word Draw may also refer to a set of games, as in a bonspiel or league series, and, the person who schedules the games and tallies the results for a bonspiel is called the Drawmaster.

And, no, I don't know what he's got on his head.
It still amazes me how much lateral movement they can get on those stones.
Last week, I went to see a couple of games at the Ontario Men's Provincial Curling Championships (I had a couple of friends playing in it). They were getting a curl of almost four and a half feet on draws. In club, we are lucky to get two and a half feet of curl.
Neat! Being from the States, I have to come clean and say curling is relatively new to me.
